My last fight against Rubin Williams wasn’t my best performance but there were some good things to take out of it. Firstly, with Rubin being so experienced, yet I was so dominant. I was also happy with the pressure and the kit punches I threw.
- Shannon Taylor "Bulli Blaster"
This was the first of two National Titles, he also won the Super Middleweight (168 lb) belt in 2003 by out pointing Mark Bargero in Sydney. Other titles Shannan has claimed have been the WBF World Super Middle and Middleweight (160 lb),OPBF Welterweight (147 lb) and WBA - PABA, WBA - Fedelatin, IBF Australasian, IBF Pan Pacific junior middleweight.
- Bob Mirovic "Big Bear"
In 2001 Bob regained the Aussie Title by halting local favorite Nathan Briggs in round six at Jupiters Casino. He then relinquished the belt by winning WBF regional titles. In 2003, he journeyed to Germany and on the under card of the first Beyer-Green fight lost to future WBA champ, the Russian giant Nicolay Valuev, on points over eight rounds.

Not known for his spartan lifestyle, Col quickly moved up to heavyweight, winning the state title before taking the Australian title in 1997, decking and out pointing Vince Cervi at Southport RSL. Col lost that belt to Aussie Joe Bugner by decision at Jupiters Casino in 1998. In 2000 he won the OPBF title by upsetting former US based Justin Fortune (now a top trainer in California) by TKO in round six.
